Application Request Access

Application Request Access

End User request permissions to a specific application.

Application Request Access

In some environments, temporary workers may request access to an application. In this model, the administrator will receive a push notification to accept/deny.

Enable Push Notifications

Although it is possible to ‘poll’ the outstanding requests, we recommend enabling push notifications. These will come to your phone and can be directly dealt with.

There is no requirement to install an application on your phone, the push notifications use the native phone platform messaging.

Administrator View

You can see pending requests, accept-them as-is, reject them, or edit them as below image.

End-User View

The end user in https://profile.__MYDOMAIN__/ sees 3 tabs they can swipe between. These show:

  • mine (applications I have access to)
  • pending (applications I have asked for access but he administrator has not yet acted on)
  • all (all applications which have ‘published’ set are visible to request).

When the user requests an application from the ‘all’ tab, a dialog pops up where they can put a message.
