Group, Hierarchy
Resource Labels
Resources can have labels applied to group them. This in turn can create a hierarchy in Profile.
Resource Labels
Resource labels are arbitrary meta-data labels which can be applied to resources. A given resource can have 0 or more labels.
The most visibile use of labels is in Profile. Here they can act as hierarchy (e.g. directory structure). Thus one might have labels for:
- admin-servers
- east-plant
- west-plant
and then, in Profile, you would see a folder for all of the admin servers (2 in east, 2 in west), and in the east-plan folder you would see the 2 admin servers plus several end-user desktops.
The published flag controls whether the label will show up in Profile, or be merely used for other reporting purposes.
